We're absolutely delighted to announce the overwhelming success of our Back to School Bash (B2SB), which took place on the Concordia campus this past Saturday, September 9. This event served as an incredible kickoff to the new academic year, and we can't thank the Concordia families and their friends enough for their enthusiastic participation.
The campus was alive with excitement! From sports showcases and hands-on science activities to a diverse array of international cuisine and student-led clubs and extracurricular activities (ECAs), there was truly something for everyone to enjoy.
Here's what some of our parents and students had to say about this year’s B2SB:
“What a wonderful event! Both kids and parents had a fantastic time. Thank you to everyone involved!” - ES parent
“The drone show was beyond cool! I was absolutely impressed.” - MS parent
“I had so much fun with my brother and my friends. I want to do this again!” - EC student
Adding to the day's excitement, we were graced with a surprise visit from none other than former NBA star Tracy McGrady! Both children and adults alike were buzzing with excitement at the chance to meet him in person.
We owe immense gratitude to so many people who helped make this event possible. A special shoutout goes to our parent leader for the B2SB, Ms. Cathy Zhou, as well as the committee of dedicated parents and volunteers who put in countless hours of planning and hard work. Your collective efforts brought this event to life. We also extend our deepest appreciation to our teachers and staff for their consistent support.
Our exceptional used books and uniform committee also deserves special recognition. They diligently sorted through an astonishing one hundred cartons of books. Moreover, our high school students admirably volunteered their time to showcase and support their clubs. Your dedication and teamwork were pivotal in making the event a grand success.
As we revel in the success of this year's Back to School Bash, let’s also look ahead. We aim to continue nurturing the rich Concordia tradition of fostering community unity and creating memories that will last a lifetime. If you enjoyed this event as much as we did, just wait until you see what we have in store for the future!
