WHICH UNIVERSITY ARE YOU PLANNING TO ATTEND AND WHAT AFFECTED YOUR CHOICE?

I will be attending Northwestern University. I really loved the campus when I visited. Additionally, since I'm not completely set on a major, I love the interdisciplinary aspect of the curriculum, as well as the flexibility in course selection.

WAS THERE A PARTICULAR PROGRAM THAT INTERESTED YOU? (IF YOU HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED IN MULTIPLE UNIVERSITIES, PLEASE SHARE COLLEGES WHERE YOU GOT ACCEPTED)

I am currently enrolled in the Learning and Organizational Change (LOC) major and accepted into a program with an adjunct major named Mathematical Methods in Social Sciences (MMSS). This basically means I will be a double major in LOC and MMSS.

WHAT MADE YOUR APPLICATIONS STAND OUT (IN YOUR OPINION)?

I don't really like to talk about myself, but if I had to pick one thing, it would probably be my well-rounded co-curricular activities. I am a tri-varsity athlete but am also the Student Body President. I'm also the Deputy Secretary General of CISSMUN X and the Co-Editor in Chief of the yearbook. Essentially, I am involved in various aspects of the community. I feel like I'm bragging so I'll stop. Haha.

WHICH CLASSES, PROGRAMS/TEACHERS HELPED SUPPORT YOUR INTEREST IN YOUR MAJOR?

I think it was a combination of all the classes. With the wide range of classes I took, from Big Data Analytics to Clayworks, I realized that I like working with people and...well talking. These experiences helped me choose a path that had to include teamwork and communication.

WHAT OTHER ACTIVITIES (CLUBS, TEAMS, PROJECTS) STAND OUT TO YOU AS HAVING ENRICHED YOUR HIGH SCHOOL EXPERIENCE?

I think being a part of sports has taught me valuable life lessons. My cardio endurance has improved, but I have also learned about the struggles of life and importance or perseverance. I recently had to pick a word to describe myself as an athlete, and I chose "fortitudinous". I choose this word because sports have made me have the ability to face adversity with courage. Along with sports, Student Council has made a huge impact on my life. It's taught me how to communicate with administrators and teachers, but also relate and listen to my peers.
