What the Concordia Swim Team did to prepare for their first meet

Tryouts for the Concordia Swim Team took place back in October, and since then our swimmers have been in the water working hard, increasing their times and perfecting their techniques.

The team recently put all that practice to use at their very first international school swim meet which took place at Taipei American School.

“It was a wonderful competitive and social experience for our team of swimmers, who ranged in age from 6 to 17 years,” shares Concordia Director of Aquatics Ryan Layt. “All swimmers returned with personal best times and points for our team, with a few of our swimmers finishing in the top 10 in their individual events. We look forward to returning as a bigger and stronger team next year!

Concordia’s aquatics program focuses on encouraging participation in swimming for fun and teaching skills for a safe swimming environment. The program also expands participation in competitive swimming and allows club swimmers and swimmers who compete at district level to develop a broader range of skills and techniques.
