Over the recent months, the College Acceptance Wall inside Concordia’s High School Counseling suite has been filling up with pictures of colleges and universities from all over the world.
Each picture represents that the university has given at least one offer to our students! From Concordia Shanghai to the world, our seniors are continuing their journey to life success in their best-fit universities worldwide.
Our students have achieved truly impressive results amidst the increasingly competitive college admissions climate seen around the world. In our graduating Class of 2023, 55% of applicants have so far received offers from their first or second choice schools, and the entire class of 64 applied to an average of 7.5 universities. Rather than relying simply on rankings or prestige, Concordia students know how to navigate the college search process with an open mind about the academic and social environment that they are looking for. Concordia’s high school counselors emphasize the perspective that it’s not about colleges choosing you, but actually, the other way around. Our students take the driver’s seat in the college application process, gaining confidence in themselves as they choose schools that truly “fit” their personalities, interests, financial goals, and other personal or family considerations.

So far, acceptance letters have come from universities in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong (China), Japan, Singapore, and South Korea. This year, the U.S. is still the top destination for our graduating class when applying for higher educational institutions, with 81% of our seniors applying to U.S. universities.
