I transferred to Concordia in February, 2017 during my sophomore year.

I applied for the Huntsman Program in International Studies and Business, a dual degree program between the Wharton School and the College of Arts and Science; this means that I will graduate with a BS in Economics and a BA in International Studies.
WHAT MADE YOUR APPLICATIONS STAND OUT (IN YOUR OPINION)?
I think that my application stood out because I built my essays around the parts of my high school career that were most impactful to me. For instance, I wrote about my four years in speech and debate, and how that shaped who I am today as a student and a person.
WHICH CLASSES, PROGRAMS/TEACHERS HELPED SUPPORT YOUR INTEREST IN YOUR MAJOR?
Naturally, all of the social studies courses that I’ve taken have contributed to my passion for international relations and politics. The Applied Learning classes, which involve working in largely independent student teams, were especially helpful in building my interpersonal skills; Social Entrepreneurship in particular solidified my interest in business.
WHAT OTHER ACTIVITIES (CLUBS, TEAMS, PROJECTS) STAND OUT TO YOU AS HAVING ENRICHED YOUR HIGH SCHOOL EXPERIENCE?
Possibly the most fulfilling experience of my high school years was founding the Concordia Public Forum Debate Team, and coaching its members; it was truly the culmination of my speech and debate career. I was also actively involved in human rights and women’s advocacy, which led to a summer internship at the Committee for Human Rights in North Korea.
