Lu Yong Zhong shares his painting techniques with Concordia students
Concordia is proud to have internationally renowned Chinese peasant painter Lu Yong Zhong as artist in residence working directly with teachers and students in the classroom, demonstrating the techniques for creating his folk art pieces. A number of his original artworks will be on display throughout the campus from Nov. 29 - Dec. 8.

MORE ABOUT LU YONG ZHONG
Lu Yong Zhong is a member of the Shanghai Artist Association and is a Shanghai Intangible Cultural Heritage bearer. Lu has devoted himself to the creation of peasant paintings, and has held individual exhibitions of his work in China, Japan, India, and Europe. His works have been widely collected by museums at home and abroad.
His painting “Farmyard Fun”, which depicts the life of rural farmers planting, conducting business, and participating in cultural activities, is the longest peasant painting in China at 16 meters long.
