Ping Chin, Class of 2012

Ping Chin, Class of 2012WHAT ARE SOME OF THE MOST MEMORABLE AND IMPACTFUL MOMENTS AT CONCORDIA IN CHOIR/FINE ARTS?

Concerts, APAC, NYC Tour, Singing Valentines, Musicals, etc. A few moments or classes that really stuck out for me were the APAC Choir conferences, especially building relationships and getting to know students from other schools, as well as the general choir events like the concerts and singing valentines. I think the Chamber singers always had a close bond because of these various activities.

HOW DID YOUR INVOLVEMENT IN MUSIC/THE PERFORMING ARTS HELP YOU TO GET WHERE YOU ARE TODAY?

I chose to take Choir as an elective because I loved music and the creative components of working together as a team with the Chamber singers. Throughout my adult life, I’ve continued to consciously find ways to creatively express myself and “fill my cup” with these more creative and fulfilling activities.

DID YOU/DO YOU PARTICIPATE IN ANY MUSICAL/THEATRE GROUPS AT UNIVERSITY? PLEASE LIST.

Northwestern Community Ensemble (gospel choir) for a few years.

WHEN YOU LOOK BACK AT YOUR TIME SPENT AT CONCORDIA HOW IMPORTANT WAS YOUR TIME SPENT IN CHOIR? AND HOW DO THESE MEMORIES COMPARE TO YOUR AP CLASSES?

Equally as important as my AP classes.

ARE YOU INVOLVED IN MUSIC NOW?

Currently, I am not involved in music.
